The HID Signo™ Mechanical Keypad Reader 40T delivers high performance and durability, making it ideal for harsh environments or applications that require a traditional mechanical keypad. Its tactile feedback ensures reliable operation in cold or wet conditions, for users wearing gloves, or in low-visibility settings.
Designed for wall switch-mounted doors, the Signo 40T supports a wide range of credentials, including cards, key fobs, and mobile devices. It also supports HID Mobile Access via Bluetooth® and NFC, as well as Apple Enhanced Contactless Polling (ECP) for Apple Wallet credentials.
Built with secure element hardware, it protects cryptographic keys and uses smart surface detection to optimize read range automatically. With out-of-the-box OSDP support, it enables secure, bidirectional communication, and remote management helps reduce on-site maintenance.
The reader can be customized with multiple credential formats, color options, and mounting or wiring configurations to meet your installation requirements.
